AvidLovePlay sent over two clitoral suction toys for testing: the Ergonomic Max Suction Vibe and the Handheld Max Suction Vibe. I’m reviewing them together because, unless I’ve missed some deeply hidden internal wizardry, they feel almost identical in use, with the same basic air-pulse suction sensation, same power levels, and same gloriously orgasmic end result.

The difference is not really performance. It’s the shape, the grip, and how each toy fits into the way you actually use it. Available from AvidLovePlay.com for $55 each at the time of writing (regular price $80) — but you can also enter the code SEXTOYDB at checkout for an additional 20$ off! Are they worth it? Let’s find out.

“100% Orgasm Rate”

The Ergonomic Max Suction and Handheld Max Suction are very clearly in the same category as the Satisfyer, Womanizer, and We-Vibe Melt-style clitoral suction toys that have more or less taken over the “quick orgasm” segment of the toy market. You place the silicone nozzle over your clitoris, use a little water-based lube if needed to get a good seal, and instead of traditional buzzy surface vibration, the toy uses rapid air pulses.

Then your body either says, “yes, thank you, I’ll have some more please,” or “absolutely not, get that tiny demon trumpet away from me.”

AvidLovePlay claims a 100% orgasm rate, which is the sort of marketing claim that usually makes me roll my eyes. Bodies are different and no sex toy can guarantee an orgasm for every person, every time. But during testing? Annoyingly enough, it checked out.

Both toys got the job done. Repeatedly. Efficiently. Sometimes almost too efficiently. That said, I already know I like this kind of air-pulse suction sensation, so it wasn’t exactly a surprise. If suction toys work for you, these will work, too. If they don’t, these probably won’t be the magical exception that rewrites your nervous system. But if you don’t know? At least these are cheap enough to take a punt on without having to spend $200 on a more well-known brand.

Same Premium Sensation, Two Different Shapes

AvidLovePlay’s positioning is basically this: these two toys offer the same core sensation, but they are aimed at different styles of use. That seems fair. In testing, I couldn’t separate them much on performance. The suction intensity feels broadly the same, the sensation is the same, and the end result is the same. The meaningful difference is how you hold them and how naturally they fit into the moment.

The Handheld Max Suction Vibe is the sleeker, more body-contouring version. It has a compact, curved shape designed to nestle into your palm . It feels made for lying back, closing your eyes, and letting the toy sit naturally against the vulva without too much grip adjustment. It’s also the one that makes more sense for couples. Because the body is low-profile and compact, it’s easier to fit between partners during shared intimacy (in theory, anyway). Some suction toys are brilliant solo but become awkward during partnered sex because there’s suddenly too much plastic and too much hand. The Handheld Max is better suited to that kind of close-body use.

The Ergonomic Max Suction Vibe, meanwhile, is the more direct and controllable version. It has a distinct curved body, which gives you better leverage and makes it easier to guide, angle, and reposition with accuracy. If you’re new to suction toys, this is probably the easier one to understand immediately. Pick it up, point the nozzle where it needs to go, press the buttons, job done.

So if the Handheld Max is the more body-hugging option, the Ergonomic Max is the more practical, beginner-friendly one. It gives you a firmer grip, better control, and a little more confidence when adjusting pressure and position.

Performance

Performance-wise, I’d struggle to separate them. The suction intensity feels broadly the same, and neither toy comes across as a weak imitation that only vaguely understands what it’s trying to do. They both deliver that familiar suction-to-orgasm pipeline: gentle at first, then suddenly not gentle at all. For a lot of people, the issue with suction toys isn’t that the sensation doesn’t work. It’s that it works too quickly.

I’d be lying if I said I lasted more than 90 seconds with either of these. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Sometimes it very much isn’t. There are days when “fast, reliable, done” is the whole point. There are other times when you want a slower build, more teasing, and more control. You might be thinking, “Can’t you just lift the toy away to slow things down?” And yes, technically you can. The problem is that suction toys are extremely positioning-dependent. You need a decent seal around the clitoris or it does basically nothing at all. It’s an all-or-nothing affair. Lift it away, lose the seal, and now you’re fiddling to get it back into position again. In the heat of the moment, that can be annoying. A simple buzzy wand, by comparison, only needs to be placed in the general vicinity to work its magic. It’s less precise, but also less fussy.

That’s really the trade-off with air-pulse toys in general. The sensation is more focused than a wand, less diffuse, and much more dependent on correct placement. When it works, it really fucking works. When it’s slightly off, it can feel like absolutely nothing is happening, leading many to try it and dismiss the whole thing.

That’s also why we got on less well with the Handheld Max. Sure, it can sort of fit in-between you during moments with a partner, but again: positioning is key. If you’re being jostled about or thrusting with the moment, then it’s damn near impossible to keep in the right place, and the whole endeavour is pointless. I’d recommend something less targeted for intimate moments for a partner, and instead, get the Ergonomic Max purely for your own moments of pleasure.

Originality

If I had one criticism, it’s originality. These are not revolutionary new designs. They are familiar suction toys in slightly different shells. The Handheld Max leans into a sleeker, body-contouring shape, while the Ergonomic Max goes for classic control and easy handling. That is useful, but it’s not exactly a revolution in sex tech. Still, not every toy needs to reinvent the orgasm. Sometimes it just needs to turn up, do the job, and not make a complete mess of it. And these certainly do the job.

The AvidLovePlay Ergonomic Max Suction Vibe and Handheld Max Suction Vibe are basically the same pleasure engine in two different bodies.

They are not especially original, and yes, they feel very much like Satisfyer/Womanizer-style suction toys in a plain cardboard box with the brand scrubbed out. But they work. In fact, they work extremely well. You don’t need to pay upwards of $200 for those brands; these are $80 $55 yet 100% as effective, and I say that as someone who has review many of these things. Functionally, I can confirm, these are identical in every aspect.

Either way, the result is much the same: rapid, focused suction stimulation that gets to the point with very little small talk. (And remember, SEXTOYDB will net you another 20% off. Bargain!)
