When Hismith released the original Lube Launcher a few years ago, it was an absolute game changer. I called it an essential upgrade for anyone with a Hismith sex machine, allowing you to inject lube through a cumtube-equipped attachment with a single press of a button.
But the hardware wasn’t perfect. You had to fill the reservoir upside down, the tank was relatively small, and the software was limited, since the Lube Launcher could only really be used in solo mode rather than alongside scripted playback.
Hismith has been busy fixing all of that.
The Hismith Lube Launcher 2.0 (use HISMITH10 to get 10% off) gets a redesign, much larger reservoir, easier refilling, a dedicated remote control, improved hose connection, app-based timed dispensing, and integration with Hismith’s newer synchronized playback features. That’s a lot of improvements, though at roughly $150, it’s not exactly an impulse purchase. But if you already own a compatible Hismith machine, I’d argue it remains one of the best upgrades you can buy for it.

Hismith Lube Launcher 2.0 Design and Setup
The Lube Launcher 2.0 is essentially a powerful rechargeable electric pump designed to push lubricant through the central tube found in compatible sex machine attachments. It charges over USB-C from a port on the rear, while the single physical button on top handles power and manual dispensing.
The redesigned reservoir is filled from the side/top rather than requiring you to turn the whole unit upside down, which immediately fixes one of my biggest complaints about the original. Hismith recommends filling it to around 150ml, although the reservoir itself can hold approximately 200ml.
You can use the Lube Launcher handheld, but realistically it makes far more sense mounted directly onto your machine. Hismith includes a 25mm pole adaptor, which slides over the top of one of the machine legs once you remove the rubber end cap.
From there, connect the tube from your chosen attachment to the Lube Launcher and make sure any excess tubing stays well away from the machine’s moving or pinch points, while still leaving enough slack for the full stroke length.
You’ll Need a Compatible Cumtube Attachment
We tested the Lube Launcher 2.0 alongside a Hismith Premium 4.0 bundle, which comes with four attachments.
Unfortunately, only two of those four have a central cumtube and can therefore make use of the Lube Launcher, and those are both quite similar realistic dildos. That’s a little disappointing because the fantasy-styled knotted sea-horse attachment is the one we’d most like to use with it.
There are plenty of third-party attachments with internal tubes available, though, so you’re certainly not limited to Hismith’s own range. Just be aware that if your attachment uses a suction-cup base rather than Hismith’s Kliklok fitting, you’ll probably need an appropriate adaptor to mount it to the machine. How Powerful Is the Hismith Lube Launcher 2.0?
Exactly how much liquid comes through depends heavily on what lubricant you’re using and its viscosity. Thicker mixtures move much more slowly, and if you go too thick, the pump simply won’t be able to move it effectively. That means you’ll probably need to experiment a little to find the consistency that works best. For water-based lubes, you can always mix in a little water. For the sake of some of the video shots, I used water stained with titanium oxide. In reality it isn’t going to fire that far; nor would you want it to!
For actual lube use, though, there’s more than enough flow. The purpose here is to keep everything suitably lubricated without having to constantly stop the machine and reapply manually. And for that, it works brilliantly.
Four Ways to Control the Lube Launcher 2.0
One of the biggest improvements with the Lube Launcher 2.0 is the number of ways you can control it. The simplest is the physical button on top. Press it and the pump fires, making this the obvious choice if you’re using the Launcher handheld. You also get a small wireless remote with a single button. Hold the button down and the Launcher continues dispensing until you release it.
That alone makes the 2.0 much more convenient than the original, particularly if the Launcher itself is mounted somewhere awkward to reach.
App Control and Automatic Lube Dispensing
More interesting is Bluetooth control through the Hismith app. Once connected, the Lube Launcher appears alongside your Hismith machine, with firing controls available directly from the interface. You can manually dispense lubricant whenever you want or set up an automatic repeating timer.
Choose your preferred interval, start the timer, and the Lube Launcher will continue dispensing automatically. This is probably the most useful new feature of the entire system because it solves the original Launcher’s biggest software limitation. You can now run scripted machine playback while having lubricant dispensed automatically in the background.
Hismith has also introduced a synchronized device mode, primarily intended for linking multiple machines together, but the Lube Launcher 2.0 can join too. You designate one connected device as the master and then configure how the other devices respond.
Using the Lube Launcher as a slave device isn’t particularly compelling in my experience. You can configure it to dispense when the machine crosses a particular threshold, for instance when speed exceeds 20%. The problem is that this is a threshold trigger rather than continuous logic. If the machine stays above 20%, the Launcher fires once and then does nothing. If your script happens to bounce repeatedly between 19% and 20%, however, it’ll fire every time the threshold is crossed. That’s technically synchronization, but not necessarily useful synchronization.
Far more interesting is setting the Lube Launcher itself as the master. You can then configure the machine to start moving at a particular speed and for a set duration whenever lubricant is dispensed. At least, it’s a fun mode for video. Again, kind of useless in reality.
It’s clever, and there’s certainly room for experimentation, but for normal use I think the repeating timer is considerably more practical.
Hismith Lube Launcher 2.0 vs Original Lube Launcher
The biggest physical upgrade is the reservoir. The original Lube Launcher held around 70ml, while the new model increases capacity to as much as 200ml (though Hismith recommends you only use 150ml, for some reason). That’s at least twice as much lube before you need to refill.
More importantly, filling it is vastly easier. The original had to be turned upside down to refill, which wasn’t exactly ideal when dealing with a device whose entire purpose is pumping slippery liquid around your bedroom. The 2.0 can simply be topped up while mounted on the machine legs.
There’s another improvement that’s much smaller but almost as welcome: the hose connector actually holds onto the hose now. On the original Lube Launcher, I regularly found the tube slipping off the nozzle. Once lubricant had inevitably coated everything, getting it securely attached again became ridiculously difficult. The redesigned connector takes considerably more force to pull free. It sounds like a minor change, but in practical use it’s a huge improvement.
Why Use a Lube Launcher at All?
Apart from adding a certain amount of realism to compatible attachments, the real advantage is much more boring: you don’t have to stop every few minutes to reapply lubricant. That’s particularly useful for longer sessions, anal play, and water-based lubricants, where things can dry out faster than you’d like.
Without something like the Lube Launcher, that means stopping the machine, reaching for the bottle, applying more, getting everything lined up again, then restarting. With the Launcher, you press a button — or don’t press anything at all and let the timer handle it.
Is the Hismith Lube Launcher 2.0 Worth It?
The original Lube Launcher was already an essential Hismith upgrade in my opinion. I can’t imagine regularly using one of these machines without it nowadays because it’s such a massive quality-of-life improvement. The Lube Launcher 2.0 basically fixes everything that annoyed me about the first version. It’s a great example of actually listening to customer feedback.
The reservoir is much larger and easier to refill. The hose stays attached properly. There’s now a dedicated remote. App integration is better. Automatic timed dispensing works alongside machine playback. And while the synchronized device controls aren’t enormously useful for this particular accessory yet, they do give Hismith room to build some interesting features in future.
At around $150, it’s admittedly expensive for what is essentially a very specialized pump. But if you’ve already spent several hundred dollars on a Hismith machine and regularly use cumtube-equipped attachments, this is the accessory that makes the whole setup dramatically better.
