Tantaly is no stranger to the hip doll business. They’ve been around as long as I can remember and are widely regarded as one of the best. Today I’m really pleased to be checking out their top-of-the-line Aurora 2.0 — a busty, anime-inspired doll with wild proportions and tight holes.

Shipping and Unboxing
Shipping took about a week and was sent via UPS to the UK. There was a small import charge to pay on this — I’ve read some users saying they weren’t charged anything in the past, but especially with UPS you’re not going to get away with that now. So allow for a maximum of 25 % to pay as an import fee, covering both VAT and handling. There should be no fees if you’re in the EU since it ships from Germany, and I believe they have a US warehouse, too.

The box is massive and heavy, so expect some questions both from the driver and inquisitive family members. My wife took delivery and had an awkward conversation along the lines of “Oh, I don’t know what it is — oooh, I hope it’s not a dead body!” The import company name is generic though; and it doesn’t say sex doll on the customs label, only “plastic toy”, so rest assured your privacy’s safe.

Opening it up, there’s an inner Tantaly box, and inside that you’re immediately greeted by the canvas storage bag. Unzip that and there’s more packaging. Up top, we’ve got a magazine-style catalogue, a body bag to go directly with the doll, and a quick maintenance guide. The bulk of the box is a custom-molded polystyrene tomb, which keeps her shape during storage — don’t throw that away.
First Impressions
And there we have Aurora. Right away it’s pretty mind-blowing in terms of scale. Obviously, there are no head or arms, but we do have legs — or long thighs anyway — and massive breasts. This is the standard fair color, incredibly white, almost ghostly, with very subtle coloration around the vulva and nipples. They also have a slightly darker tan model they call Wheat.

The first thing you’re going to notice is that at 56.6 lbs, or just over 25 kg, she is fucking heavy. I mean, look, it’s not like this is hidden information or anything, but if you’re shopping for dolls based on “heavier is more realistic,” you should also really consider the practicalities of that. Not only is it heavy, it’s bulky too.
The storage bag it arrives in — which, by the way, is definitely appreciated — is a heavy-duty woven canvas bag exactly as big as the box with no wasted space, and that’s 36 × 14 × 16 inches. That won’t fit under our bed and it’s too wide for the wardrobe, so fuck it, she’s living on the bed permanently, I guess.
And speaking of realism, it’s worth noting that while heavier definitely feels more realistic when she’s on top of you, an actual person can support themselves while a doll is entirely reliant on you to hold, manipulate, and move her around. I’m not weak by any means, but even I found it difficult at first to just dead-lift a 56-lb squishy sack of imitation flesh.

If you’ve got somewhere you can leave her out ready for use, that would probably be best. That said, a lot of that weight comes from her gorgeous legs, and those open up more play opportunities than lighter-weight dolls that don’t have legs, such as doggy style or balancing her on top.
Detailing and Feel
Now that we’ve got her up standing here, you can really see the stunning level of detail in the muscle definition and structure. She has extremely perky breasts, and these are what they call Tantabosom. Rather than being the same solid TPE or even gel-filled, they’re 30 % softer than other gel breasts, apparently, resulting in extra squish and bounciness. I can can confirm: they feel amazing.

She doesn’t have the Tantabutt, however. You don’t get both on Aurora, but I have no problems with her lovely ass. It’s really fucking good to smack and great to grab. While I haven’t experienced another doll equipped with a Tantabutt, I suspect they made that choice because it just didn’t add that much here compared to the extra cost it would’ve added.

Tantaly advertises this as an anime sex doll with a slim body, and in terms of proportions that’s fair. She has a tiny 20-inch waist, 38-inch hips, 25 inches under the breast, and 33-inch breasts. On the one hand it’s realistic in some dimensions and completely exaggerated in others. So yeah: anime style.
Zooming close on the body and details, you can really start to see the incredibly realistic textures and skin dimples.
Movement and Positioning
In terms of freedom of movement and posability, the legs can be lifted up as well as split apart. This actually lets you position her so that she can sit upright fully supported on her own. There’s also some bend at the lower spine allowing you to arch her back delicately.

The first time you actually try to get her to pose it’s not easy — it feels a bit like you’re going to break her — but you soon get the hang of it. I found the best way to arch her back was to lay her waist over my leg and push down either side.
Although she’s obviously heavy and awkward to move, the addition of those thighs really adds a lot to the play experience, allowing you to go at it doggy-style or have her comfortably balance on top of you. Unlike pure hip dolls with no legs, you won’t need to keep her there.

Aurora has both a complex vaginal tunnel and a tight, shorter anal tunnel to fuck. You can actually adjust the tightness of the holes a little by moving the legs, which is useful for cleaning to open her up but also for switching up the experience.

Dressing Aurora
Dressing Aurora is a lot of fun, but it can be tricky, more so than with any of the other Tantaly dolls purely because of the exaggerated proportions.

My wife lent me some of her lingerie to try. She’s a 34B, and it sort of worked. The combination of small cup and oversized band was loose but still attractive — admittedly her nipples did keep falling out. Her size 10/12 panties mostly fit too without having to pin anything back.

Anything strappy that you can tie tighter, like a bikini set, is going to be fine. It’s more things like dresses or proper tops where it gets tricky, and there’s no realistic size that will suit this doll precisely. It’ll either be too tight around the boobs or too loose around the waist.
Also worth noting: avoid strong colors and make sure you wash everything a few times to get any loose pigments out, because her pale white skin will absorb colors easily. Even our faux-fur bed cover ended up transferring a little dark patch to her when we first unboxed it. My advice would be to use the silky body bag she ships with underneath her while you experiment.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Let’s talk cleanup and maintenance because it’s a big topic. First and obvious: avoid harsh chemicals. Basic soap on the outside and a douche on the holes should be sufficient. Obviously getting her into the shower is easier said than done, and drying her is the most difficult part. Sticking a douche in and squirting water in is easy; getting the water back out again is hard.

At a minimum, use a drying stick. These are roughly 4-inch sticks made of ceramic or other absorbent materials, like a solid tissue. One is included in the box, but you’ll probably want more. Don’t actually use tissue because you’ll end up with a bunch of white crap stuck inside. The drying sticks should be removed after about 10–15 minutes and themselves dried somewhere else. They’re absolutely not designed to stay in there and will do more harm than good if left, but can be reused again once dried.
The real problem with Aurora in particular is that the vaginal tunnel is quite complex and seems to have a deep secondary cavity. It feels incredible to fuck (like hitting the cervix), but it’s an absolute nightmare to dry. I thought I had it dry, and then the next day reached in and found it sealed up and basically still damp inside.

Even better is to get a small aquarium pump — I got one off Amazon for about £30 — so you can just stick the hose in and provide a constant flow of air to dry her for a day or two.
When it’s completely dry, give her a light dusting of renewal or baby powder to keep the skin smooth.

Every few months, apply a little baby oil or mineral oil to her skin (again, external only). This keeps the skin supple and in good condition.

You can keep her in her canvas and polystyrene tomb (just be sure to use the supplied body bag) or, as I said, leave her out in a dry environment if you’ll be using her daily.
Verdict
So, what’s the verdict? Obviously, as the top-of-the-line Tantaly model and about half the size of a full-size doll, Aurora isn’t cheap — around the $700–$800 mark — so it really depends on your budget. She’s a sensible midpoint between a full-size doll, which simply isn’t in the budget for most people, and a simple butt doll that’s no more than a glorified Fleshlight.

Aurora has an incredible pair of breasts, and those legs open up so many more play opportunities and the ability to sit her upright with semi-realistic proportions. From the complex, tight holes to the gorgeously soft breasts and sheer volume, everything about Aurora feels premium and well-made, so she’s absolutely worth it.

The only downside is the maintenance and general awkwardness of lugging around and washing something that weighs 25 kg, or 56 lbs. It’s a fair workout and time-consuming: the washing, drying, powders, oil. So just be prepared for that. Obviously, for such an investmen,t you want to keep it in the best condition for as long as possible.
Other than that? Fuck yes. Aurora from Tantaly is incredible.
