Erotic Fiction
Bedroom Eyes 20 – a great example of how descriptive language can evoke intense emotions, and a delightful start to this month’s edition!
Mr. Welsh and the Bathtub – admittedly, this would have turned me on a lot more if I hadn’t had a Geography teacher called Mr Welsh.
The Master Plan – Part 11 – if you haven’t already started this, you may want to lock the doors and block out a few hours to catch up. It’s worth it.
Thoughts & Advice on Sex & Relationships
Foreplay – in which William outlines exactly why they say the brain is the most imported sex organ in your body. For most people, I suspect foreplay is actually erotic fiction (in the sense that it never fucking happens!)—and that’s a travesty that we all need to try hard at fixing.
Never bored with a board game – in which Barefootsub recounts some delightful gaming memories (I don’t want to know what the rubber chicken is for, though). As a keen board gamer, I must admit the thought of crossing kink with boardgaming has crossed my mind. Sure, there’s a load of cheesy off-the-shelf sexytime games which are invariably all a variation on “truth or dare”, but adding kink to an existing game sounds like a far better idea. I think I’ll start with Catan, because screaming “I’ve got wood for your sheep” is always a classic.
Thoughts & Advice on Kink & Fetish
Collars And Cuffs: Japanese Vs American Bondage Equipment – having lived in Japan for a good part of my life, it’s not something I’ve considered there to be a huge difference in. Then again, I wasn’t exactly buying high-quality gear. If I were to live there again today, I’d have a much better idea of what’s unique or unavailable outside of Japan, instead of just hitting up the local sex toy shop (above the dodgy bookstore, usually).
The Ultimate Guide to Diaper Kinks, ABDL, and Infantilism – that’s mine.
Pegging – LockedUpL explains the ins and outs of strapping a cock on to penetrate your other half, a subject I’m quite familiar with. That said, I never consider using one to penetrate my wife; only ever for my pleasure. As if my to-do list for Friday wasn’t long enough already!
Ask Emma: Can Cuckolding Cause Erectile Dysfunction? – exploring the psychological aspects of kink and how they can affect sexual performance.
How to Get the Most Out Strap-On Sex: 7 Tips – excellent tips if you’re thinking of trying pegging. The last point reminds me of a toy I’m excited to try, but it’s still in development – the Sen by Zveotec. Unlike existing “strapless strap-ons”, the Sen integrates a bunch of sensors in the shaft, which detect thrusting or touching, and react accordingly.
Sex Work
Podopheleus Triple-Formed Review – a book about a foot fetishist, written with a load of rap lyrics. Understandably, not the easiest of reads!
Secretary Role-Play – a quick read on how this classic fantasy played out.
My Dungeon Valentine – sounds like the perfect Valentine’s day, actually.
Erotic Body Slide Massage – one of my favourite parts of a Japanese love hotel is that many come ready equipped with a big bottle of lube and an inflatable bed—in the bathroom—specially designed for a sensual body slide massage (or “nuru nuru masa-ji”, as it’s called there!)
Can an Escort Really Be Authentic? – a gentle reminder that professional companions can provide a more emotional connection.
Writing about writing
Adventures in Writing: Dear Teenage Me… – some sound advice for any of our younger selves, if only teenage me would bother to have listened.
Erotic Non Fiction
My Girlie Bits – the world of piercings completely eludes me (YKINMK), and while I admit I barely understood some of the technical terms in this, it was still a fun read to learn how and why some people enjoy the more extreme kinks.
Orgasmic party tricks – I’ve only ever dabbled in chastity, so I’m firmly in the first stage and doubt I’ll progress to the second (the orgasmic tricks bit!), but it’s fascinating to read about some of the long term effects of long-term chastity and denial. The key (if you’ll excuse the pun), seems to be moderation. Mix it up. That is, unless the last stage is your goal, in which case, have fun!
Books and Movies
You Get to Define Your Sexuality on Your Terms – an interesting take on the movie Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, from a sex worker/educator perspective. Despite a handful of red flags, it sounds like it does a great job of showing that your sexuality is yours to define, not what society tells you it is. Definitely adding this to my watchlist.
Product Reviews
Liberator Esse Luxury Sex Lounger – I’m a big fan of sex furniture, but usually end up trying to make my own. As fun as the Esse looks and as compelling as Miss Ruby makes it sound, ultimately I can’t get over the price tag of $500!
