Many vibrators try to imitate a tongue-like aspect in their design, usually with an exterior flicking mechanism. But the Toendi Veelips is the first I’ve seen that makes it a front-and-center insertable and even goes so far as to emulate the tongue’s texture rather than the default smooth silicone. This may not be the best vibrator around, but it’s certainly unique, and I appreciate that it exists because it’s so damn fun.

Design
In terms of design, you’ve got two mouths: one small one with a flickering tiny tongue for clit stimulation, and the main shaft which is a larger set of lips with an almost monstrous tongue. No offence to anyone who actually has a tongue that big, but it’s definitely sort of horse or cow-sized.
It’s not a huge toy by any means, however. At just 11.5 cm, or 4.5 inches insertable, and about the same circumference at the widest point, it’s entirely average. But it is pretty intimidating just in terms of looks.

What’s really interesting about this one is the dual textures. The main body of the toy is a typical smooth red silicone that you might find anywhere. But the tongue part actually feels like a tongue, with a much rougher texture. I should imagine if you’re buying this because you like the texture of tongues, then that’s pretty high on your wishlist.

The Toendi Veelips offers a completely unique textural experience then, and it even has a lingual frenulum on the underside — that little stringy muscle under the tongue. While the base of the tongue itself is quite squishy, as is the tip, the middle area houses a vibe motor so that part is much firmer. I almost wish that bit wasn’t there. Internal vibes have never done anything for us, so a consistent squishy tongue-like firmness would have been preferred.

The Veelips is so unique and inclusive that you can have fun with it in any hole. You can even suck on it if you want to feel like your throat is being probed. The wetter you are, the better this is going to feel, so it’s one you’ll want to use lots of lube with. It’s the closest simulation of being rimmed I’ve ever felt, too.
It’s also waterproof, rated IPX6, so bath time or shower use is fine, too.
The external stimulation is nothing unique. It’s just a flap of silicone attached to a vibrator, but it certainly gets the job done. You’re not buying it for that; it’s just an added extra, but you won’t be disappointed by that bit either.
Both the twirling action and the vibration, which is located in the external small flicking tongue and the head of the bigger tongue, have independent controls. So you can disable the vibe completely and just enjoy the twirling. There are three speeds plus a handful of modes; there’s app control too, but it’s really not worth talking about because you’re never going to be able to use this hands-free.
Flaws
That said, the Veelips isn’t perfect. There are two points that annoy me slightly.

The first is that because the twirling motion is produced in the center of the toy, and not like an actual tongue where the tongue itself has muscles to move, you can’t really use it hands-free. You need to grip the handle to make it work right. If you try to go hands-free and sort of grasp the tongue, you’ll see the problem immediately. So there’s no chance of hands-free use, and to get the ideal experience you really want to use lots of lube. The more freely the tongue end can twirl around, the better.
Second, the design of the toy means you end up with a lot of spaces that are hard to clean. Crevasses are the worst enemies of hygiene with sex toys because, to put it bluntly, they collect lube and juices which can turn nasty if it’s not washed and dried correctly. I wouldn’t call this a flaw exactly. There’s no obvious way it could have been made differently with two different textures of silicone, as far as I’m aware anyway. So it’s not a criticism so much as something to keep in mind. Make sure you dry it thoroughly. I’ve taken to putting it on the dehumidifier just to get some airflow properly in there.
Get some tongue action
Overall, I do really like this one, flaws and all. It’s an inclusive toy that offers genuinely unique sensations. It won’t be to everyone’s taste. I think some people will be put off by the rough, realistic tongue texture, and that’s fine. But I’m glad the Veelips exists as an option, and at $60 it’s priced reasonably as well.
