There’s no shortage of enormous dildos on the market, but most are simply bigger versions of something you’ve seen a hundred times before. JockTribe’s Coach Cody is different. This 12.5-inch monster has been designed specifically for deep-throat training, with an extraordinarily soft silicone construction that makes it unlike anything else in my collection.
It’s a wonderfully ridiculous concept, and one I was particularly keen to put to the test. But after spending some time with Coach Cody, I’m convinced that its biggest challenge isn’t necessarily its length.

Design and Materials
At 12.5 inches long, with approximately 10 inches of usable length, Coach Cody certainly isn’t subtle. Its shaft measures around 1.9 inches across, with a consistent girth throughout and a gently rounded head. There’s no dramatic mushroom-shaped tip, aggressive texture or pronounced taper. It’s essentially a very long, very thick shaft, which makes sense given its intended purpose, plus a lovely set of soft balls at the bottom.

What really sets Coach Cody apart is the silicone. It’s extraordinarily soft. Not just a little flexible, but completely floppy. Hold it horizontally by the base and the entire thing droops under its own weight. Attach it to a mirror and it’ll hang down rather than stand proudly to attention. It isn’t dual-density silicone, and I wouldn’t describe it as particularly realistic. Unless, of course, you’re specifically trying to replicate a completely flaccid penis.

But realism isn’t the point here. The silicone feels absolutely delectable, with a softness that makes the otherwise intimidating dimensions considerably more approachable. That softness also comes with a practical limitation and I won’t pretend this is a dual purpose toy — it very much isn’t. Coach Cody isn’t really suitable for conventional penetrative use. At this length, with no internal structure to support it, the shaft simply bends rather than maintaining its shape. It’s a specialist toy, and it makes no apologies for that.
Deep-throat Training: Is Bigger Really Better?
Coach Cody is marketed specifically as a deep-throat trainer, but I think JockTribe has made it slightly more challenging than necessary. The length makes perfect sense, I mean it’s ludicrous anyway, but that’s what we’re here to practise, after all. But the girth is another matter entirely. When I’ve previously experimented with deeper oral penetration, I’ve generally used considerably thinner dildos. Coach Cody’s consistent 1.9-inch diameter is a substantial step up, and there’s no taper to ease the transition.
For someone with a smaller mouth, I suspect the girth could become an obstacle long before the length does. The softness certainly helps. The silicone compresses enough to make the dimensions more manageable, and I can’t imagine attempting something this thick with a conventional firm silicone dildo. Even so, the width can feel excessive for something that’s supposedly focused on depth.
I’ve managed approximately halfway so far, and I’ve found myself improving with repeated sessions. There’s a genuine sense of progression, which is exactly what you’d hope for from a training product. But I can’t help thinking that a slightly slimmer version would be even better. Not dramatically thinner, just enough to make the girth less of a distraction from the intended challenge.
It’s worth remembering that the gag reflex is a protective mechanism, and forcing depth or attempting to suppress that response can increase the risk of injury. This is a toy that demands patience, not brute force.
Positioning and Practical Use
Because Coach Cody is so floppy, positioning is absolutely critical. The integrated suction cup works well, but you need to press it firmly against a suitable smooth surface to establish a secure attachment. Mounting it at eye level isn’t particularly practical. The shaft immediately droops downwards, and I found myself having to support it manually. A lower mounting position, around waist height, makes much more sense for its intended use.

There’s also something quite amusing about the whole thing: Coach Cody encourages you to approach it differently from an ordinary dildo, and the unusual proportions make the experience feel like a dedicated challenge rather than conventional sex toy play. Mount it at waist height then get on your hands and knees, or get your partner to strap it on — though you might need to give them a while to calm down and stop walloping you in the face with it.

The absurdness of the fantasy is a large part of its appeal.
Cleaning and Storage
Despite its unusual design, Coach Cody is straightforward to maintain. The smooth shaft has no awkward ridges or complicated details to clean, and the silicone can be washed with warm water and a suitable mild soap.

The downside of such soft silicone is that it attracts an extraordinary amount of dust, fluff and stray hairs. That’s hardly unusual for silicone toys, but it’s particularly noticeable here. I’d recommend rinsing it before every use, even if you’ve already cleaned it after the previous session. Fortunately, JockTribe includes a drawstring storage bag, which is a welcome addition and helps keep the toy protected between sessions.
Is Coach Cody Suitable for Beginners?
Despite the training-focused marketing, I wouldn’t recommend Coach Cody to someone completely new to deep throat play. Its softness is forgiving, but its dimensions aren’t. A beginner is likely to find the girth challenging before getting anywhere near the impressive usable length. For someone primarily interested in developing comfort with greater depth, a narrower toy would probably be a more sensible starting point.
That doesn’t mean Coach Cody fails as a training product. For someone with existing experience who wants a more substantial challenge, it offers something genuinely different. And that’s really what makes it so interesting.
Verdict: A Delightfully Ridiculous Specialist Toy
JockTribe’s Coach Cody is an utterly ridiculous, delightfully floppy dildo that takes deepthroat training seriously, even if it demands a little more girth tolerance than strictly necessary. The ultra-soft silicone feels fantastic, and the exaggerated proportions make it an unusual addition to any collection. It’s not remotely realistic, but that’s kind of the point. My only real complaint is the girth. For something marketed primarily as a depth trainer, it’s surprisingly wide, and I suspect a slightly slimmer version would be more accessible without sacrificing what makes it special.
At $98.99, it’s a fairly substantial investment for such a specialised product. But you’re getting something that feels purpose-built rather than another generic oversized dildo; and don’t forget if you use the code SEXTOYDB, you’ll get 10% off. So would I recommend it to a complete beginner? Absolutely not. But for experienced users looking for something different, Coach Cody is tremendous fun. It’s unique, wonderfully soft, and unapologetically excessive.
