TL;DR

  • Features a unique uncurling shell, allowing simultaneous internal thrusting and consistent clitoral stimulation.
  • Made from smooth, body-safe silicone, it offers independent dual motor control, intense yet quiet vibrations, and is fully waterproof.
  • While its $130 price tag may deter budget-conscious buyers, the SnailVibe Curve delivers exceptional performance for those seeking dynamic dual stimulation without compromise.

For a long time, the humble rabbit has been the iconic vibrator of choice for clitoris owners the world over, with little “bunny ears” that offer external stimulation as well as a vibrating shaft to insert. Our previous favorite—the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot (my review at CaraSutra)—had taken this a step further and replaced the vibrating bunny ears with an air pulse. But they all have one major flaw: you can only insert a set amount and leave it there once you find the spot. The moment you try to thrust it in and out, or even just jiggle around a bit, the little ears or air pulse lose contact, and the sensation disappears.

The SnailVibe Curve allows you to both thrust it in and out—and maintain constant clitoral stimulation externally—thanks to its unique uncurling shell design.

The box includes a handy solid storage case (though it’s not discreet, with branding on the top) and a magnetic USB charging cable.

Versatility and Comfort

One standout feature of the SnailVibe Curve is its versatility in usage. Unlike traditional rabbit vibrators that require a fixed position to maintain stimulation, the Curve’s unique design allows for more freedom of movement. Whether you’re experimenting with gentle thrusting or more vigorous motions, the snail head maintains consistent contact with your clitoris, ensuring uninterrupted stimulation. This versatility makes it a great option for users who enjoy dynamic play without compromising on sensation.

It’s quite a large toy with a slight curve on the shaft and a split at the tip, which resembles a peeled banana. On the rear end is a ring handle, and you’ll find some buttons to control the dual motors independently. It’s quite easy to keep hold of during solo use, as you can hook a finger or thumb into the ring at the back—but it’s different from what you might be used to. It’s made of smooth body-safe silicone in black, peach, pink, or purple and is entirely waterproof, so feel free to take it into the shower or bath.

The dual motors at the end and in the unfurling snail head are powerful and rumbly without being too noisy. There are some built-in patterns, but they’re quite basic and there’s no additional Bluetooth control or a smart app to be found here.

It can be quite confusing when you first take it out of the box as to how you use it and which bit goes where. The business end is the bottom of the banana peel split—insert that, holding the ring part with the controls—while the snail head should rest against your clitoris. Then you can begin to thrust, and you’ll find the snail part naturally uncurling. I would recommend using some water-based lube on this external snail head as well, though, even if you wouldn’t usually use some with a vibrator; it just helps to avoid any nasty friction, especially when things get more vigorous.

The only downside is when it comes to clean up. Although silicone toys (especially waterproof ones) are usually the easiest to clean because of the split shaft design, this one can be a little trickier, with lube and soap getting caught in the hole.

Charging is easy with the magnetic cable, but can take up to 2 hours for a full charge, offering 1 hour of use. But with the strength this thing operates at, you probably won’t be using it for more than a few minutes at a time.

Time to Kill the Rabbit?

At around $130, the SnailVibe Curve is undoubtedly a premium product, and its price reflects the innovation behind its design. That said, the build quality, unique functionality, and powerful motors justify the investment for those who traditional rabbit vibrators have let down. There are more cost-effective options for users on a budget or those only looking for external stimulation, but this is a brilliant contender for those who want it all.

If you don’t like dual stimulation from internal and external vibrations, then look elsewhere—the superpower of the Curve is its ability to offer both simultaneously. If you want to get off with just some external vibes, you can save $100 and buy a $20 mini-wand; it’ll be just as powerful (and I mean that in a good way—you don’t need to spend a lot to get good vibes). There’s no interactivity, so other than your built-in patterns, that’s it, and there’s no possibility of remote play.
